*ponders* I think I see some of what's bugging me about the last chapter of Twin Terrors. I need to redo the last section so that it's from the twins' (Hitachiin, I think, not Lambo or Datsun) POV rather than Mikaela's. I've also got the opening of Hound's side story nailed and typed, so that's good.

Missed the first couple minutes of this morning's TF:A, but what I did see... huh, wow, that's a pretty good way to shoehorn the "Starscream's Ghost" theme into the series. I didn't see it coming. But, but... no more cyberninja slashiness! ;_; Other than on the internet, anyway. The internet is all about the cyberninja slashiness. Still, judging from next week's episode title, "Garbage In, Garbage Out," Wreck-Gar will soon be making an appearance! I am most curious about who this "Decepticon double agent on Cybertron" Megatron mentioned might be. And I'm still betting that last week's line from Mr. Porter C. Powell about "since when do alien robots have rights" is going to end up being significant down the line....

Out of curiosity, I just checked the download stats for the most recent episode of Ultraman Moebius that my group has subbed and released. At 23:34, we're at 214.

Over two hunded downloads in one day! Happy~!

(Yes, I know this makes me a dork. And, yes, I know that our total downloads for each episode only come up to around 600. Obscure hobby and all that.)

Spent yesterday writing and doing a little bit of coding. Added "Soldier" and "Cow Tipping" to my website and put them in the queue for ff.net. (I'm a freak; I have a schedule for ff.net releases. It involves dumping a whole lot of "ready" fics into my account there at once and then releasing one every other day.) Also wrote about 18K on an as-yet-untitled G1 post-series story. I've about gotten through Jazz's explanation of the movie events... it's always fun to write him, particularly when doing it without contracting his words. (I need to go through Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger and make his speech there more legible. After I finish Twin Terrors; only two more chapters to that and I want a minumum of WIPs going at once.) I probably need to rewatch the Headmasters episodes since my recollection of them is imperfect. Need to rewatch the Return of Optimus Prime episodes too, I suppose.

Chapter six of Twin Terrors is now done. And 50% longer than any of the previous chapters! I'm sitting on it for tonight so that I can go to bed at a reasonable hour (formatting it for lj takes a while) and so that I can review it tomorrow after work with fresh eyes. But just letting y'all know there will be fic tomorrow night. ^_^

Well, it's 2008 here now. The rain is really coming down, but people were setting off fireworks regardless. At the moment my sister-in-law and I are watching Paul McCartney perform "Get You Into My Life." One of the amusing things about watching British television is that there are very, very, VERY few people, ads, or anything I recognize. It's fun.

Still fighting jetlag, am minorly sick (threw up earlier, but fortunately there was very little in my stomach to come up)... am hoping that it's just a small annoyance I caught on the plane that will be over soon. Like in the morning. Sticking to small amounts of simple foods at the moment. No animal protein or fats. So far it's working. ^_^ Otherwise, I feel fine.

Wrote a little on Twin Terrors 5 today, and have been been doing embroidery. The former (not the latter) was helped by Transformers being my first movie of choice on the flight over. The second was Waitress, and I got halfway through Hairspray before we went into a landing pattern, so I'm hoping to finish it on the way back.

Back to nibbling my grapes and roll....

And, having been a good girl and translated an episode of UM today, I yield to prodding and to seasonality and present the following next chapter. Merry Christmas, all.

Have sewn footie paws and tails on 19 of the 24 sunbonnet kitty blocks for the baby quilt. Tonight, sew the remaining five, press them, and start in on the dresses/overalls. NOTE TO SELF: change needle out as it was catching this morning.

Have shopping list. Have plans. Tonight also, making:

0) dinner: leftovers (meatloaf; corned beef) plus steamed asparagus plus green salad - Wonderful Husband did.
1) cornbread for the vegetarian stuffing/dressing to be made tomorrow
2) pumpkin pie
3) pumpkin cheesecake (wish me luck...)
4) orange-ginger cranberry sauce
5) cranberry muffins with leftover 8oz cranberries
6) banana bread and muffins 'coz I have six browning 'nanas.

Unfortunately I have work on Friday, so that niggling voice in the back of my head saying "Aha! He's his twin! This explains EVERYTHING!" gets to wait just a day or two longer until after I've got that quilt finished.

So yesterday while retreating from Ikea, having purchased the pepparkakkor (gingersnaps) that will form the base of the pumpkin cheesecake for Thursday (yes, we are going fancy this year; one pumpkin cheesecake and one pumpkin pie), the radio ad said the word "Reventon." My ears promptly pricked up and actually paid attention to the rest of the ad, which is from the Los Angeles Auto Show, going through next weekend. They have the Lamborghini Reventon there. It is, in fact, the $1.8 million car's North American debut, even if they don't have the Tesla (very nice, relatively expensive new electric car). I, of course, am planning to go. This is not at all helping my desire to write fic, which currently I am having to tamp down with lots of yelling of "Must cook dinner! Must sew baby quilt! Deadlines! Ask me next week!" ^^;; (Said baby quilt, before anyone starts fishing, is for a friend, not me.) I also have translating UM 20 on my plate for this week. Not helping is finding out one key detail which changes rather a lot of the emotional landscape in Twin Terrors, and having the characters in Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger actually talking to me again.

House: reasonably clean, due to Wonderful Husband's skills with the vacuum cleaner.

New shoes and female undergarments: purchased. Have also been trying a motif for the past few weeks where I wear a necklace and non-stud earrings to work, as well as put on perfume, in an effort to make myself look/feel more "office-like."

Dinner: cooking in the crock pot. Menus for the rest of the week hassled out, shopped for, and posted on the fridge.

Twin Terrors 4: ideas simmering at a bit higher of a temperature, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] therhoda's excellent feedback and idea-bouncing.

Ongoing sleep deprivation state: mid-high. Only feeling like I've been punched in one eye, not both, so not too bad yet. Planning to go to bed on time tonight if possible.

Crying makes my voice go screwy. However, apparently not so screwy that I lose the "phone persona" I have, because one of our clients asked to speak to the office manager after I helped her, and asked him to put a commendation in my file (which he did).

Have all kinds of stuff going on in my head for Twin Terrors chapter five, which (as I keep pointing out to the characters) is not really helpful since I need to write chapter four first. At least it's seeming like the story is going to (*knocks on wood*) only be six chapters long, and then I can call another one finished. Which obscurely reminds me that I should figure out how to do screencaps so I can make myself some Transformers icons.

On the way home from work/store/bookstore, I got passed by a shiny so-new-it-didn't-even-have-its-plates-yet yellow Lamborghini Murcielago going in the other direction.

It then hung a U.

Followed me through a left-hand turn.

And passed me again.

Ladies and gentlemen, I begin to think Sunstreaker is trying to get me to write the next part of Twin Terrors....

Hmm. Well, this weekend I washed and Armor-Alled my car, which needed it badly, and finished off an embroidery piece that had been befuddling the voices in my head (Cybertronians, apparently, do not "get" a cartoon duck, dressed in an apron and toque, carrying a cake), and started in on one that had long been put to the side, a counted cross stitch old-fashioned map of the world (thus far the voices have mentioned no opinion on this piece). I also got one musing started into fic form ("Twin Terrors"), took my mother to see "Transformers" at the $2 theater (making this showing #4 for me), and, in having dinner at my parents' tonight, rediscovered my love of the Grateful Dead. The Dead were the first concert I ever went to, and formed a good strong part of my soundtrack growing up. And now, it seems, they will provide the soundtrack for my writing as well, because in browsing through their songs via Youtube this evening, I've found several chapter titles for "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger." This is good because part of the reason I've been so stalled on getting chapter eight out it that I've had no title, no musical inspiration for it. I've run out of Peter Gabriel, and haven't found anything in Sting's or Duran Duran's works that would suit. I'm very happy to find another musical source for the story, as it's my writing priority at the moment.

This fic is due largely to [livejournal.com profile] nicole_dyria posting images here of the brand-new, extremely drool-worthy Lamborghini Reventon redone in Sunstreaker and Sideswipe's colors. That and the fact that Sunny and Sides accepted this as an acceptable alternative to the back story of their college encounter with Prowl in "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger." Hunny's helicopter is a nod to rally driver Colin McRae, who died in a crash this weekend.
