Out of curiosity, I just checked the download stats for the most recent episode of Ultraman Moebius that my group has subbed and released. At 23:34, we're at 214.

Over two hunded downloads in one day! Happy~!

(Yes, I know this makes me a dork. And, yes, I know that our total downloads for each episode only come up to around 600. Obscure hobby and all that.)

Spent yesterday writing and doing a little bit of coding. Added "Soldier" and "Cow Tipping" to my website and put them in the queue for ff.net. (I'm a freak; I have a schedule for ff.net releases. It involves dumping a whole lot of "ready" fics into my account there at once and then releasing one every other day.) Also wrote about 18K on an as-yet-untitled G1 post-series story. I've about gotten through Jazz's explanation of the movie events... it's always fun to write him, particularly when doing it without contracting his words. (I need to go through Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger and make his speech there more legible. After I finish Twin Terrors; only two more chapters to that and I want a minumum of WIPs going at once.) I probably need to rewatch the Headmasters episodes since my recollection of them is imperfect. Need to rewatch the Return of Optimus Prime episodes too, I suppose.

Sally, Go!

We did it, we did it! *does the happy subber dance*

Our fansubbing group, Fushigichan Fansubs, can finally call ourselves a real group! We have a website and have started releases!

*falls over dead of the happy*

In any case, please feel free to download and watch our first production, the Ultraman Moebius movie. Because I think the series is really really cool and have been pimping it to anyone reading this journal for months anyway, and the movie more or less acts as a standalone piece and you don't need to have watched the TV series to follow it. (We plan to tackle the TV series after most of our group goes to and returns from Japan.) And if you do download it and watch, we hope you enjoy!

I mentioned a few days ago that [livejournal.com profile] serika_san had tipped me off that someone on fanfiction.net had stolen two of my Princess Tutu stories and claimed them as their own. Now, she, [livejournal.com profile] hoshikage and I let ff.net know about this eleven days ago and... they've done nothing. Not pulled the stories, not banned the plagiarist's account, nothing. I don't normally like asking favors of my friends, but this has me really irked because these are my stories and this person is stealing them. I realize fanfiction is only that, and I don't own any kind of intellectual property to Princess Tutu or any of the story sources I've ever written from, but... I worked hard on these stories. Writing is a skill that I strive to polish. I think I have the right to be proud of my work and the pleasure it might give to others. To have someone steal it like this and claim it as their own cheapens my feeling of worth and leaves me bitter, angry, and upset. (Also, those feelings tend to decrease the possibility of me writing more, because I can't write well when depressed. This may be taken as incentive, if you're so minded.)

So, if any of you are so inclined as to also report the matter to ff.net, the person in question's account is here and the two stories she's posted thus far are both mine, posted here and on the Princess Tutu Fanfiction community roughly three months ago and more recently on my personal website. At the bottom of each story there is the option to "Submit Review." If you click on it, it also gives you the option to "Report Possible Abuse." I would appreciate anyone's efforts in getting this matter rectified. I've opened my own ff.net account since this plagiarism came to light (it's Sakon76, for those interested) but I'm probably not going to start posting my stories there until this matter is cleared up. (They're all available on my website anyway, so it's not a threat, merely a fact.)

[livejournal.com profile] sandpanther let me post one of her Ultraman Moebius stories, Turnabout, on my page! *does a happy dance for the getting of more Mebific out on the web*

Well, I spent this morning editing and coding stories so I could toss some of my backlog onto my webpage. They've all been previously posted here in rough draft forms, but now the final drafts are up and collected.

In the canon'verse, there's With Full Knowledge: The Power to Protect, which is a study on episodes twenty-nine and thirty.

In the "Alliterative Arc" AU I'm writing with [livejournal.com profile] hoshikage and [livejournal.com profile] sandpanther, there are (in chronological order) Reflections in Rhapsody, which is smutty, A Touch More Time, which is not and follows on developments in [livejournal.com profile] hoshikage's work-in-progress Crystalline Chaos, and finally Days of Dreams That in Their Courses Convene, which confronts a problem in our stories and spins it out to the next level and next planet, as well as leading into [livejournal.com profile] sandpanther's story Turnabout, which I hope she'll let me put up next.

Well, have edited and html'ed and posted stories to my website. There are two new Princess Tutu stories up, one Ouran High Host Club, and the Ultraman Moebius story I've been working on recently. They all went up here originally, but if anyone wants to read or link to their finished forms, there they are.

Haha!

I found Chrislea on IM and asked her and she let me put her story on my Sakon page! Yay! One down, one to go. ^_^

I've spent a decent percentage of this evening browsing through some good fanfiction, and trying to track down two pieces in particular which no longer seem to be on ff.net. They're both Ayatsuri Sakon fanfics. The first is "Speaks with Dolls," by an author named "cloudhunter," and the second is called "The Strength of Weaknesses," by an author named "chrislea." If anyone can help me find links to these two, or to their authors, I'd appreciate it muchly as I want to ask if I can put their works on my Sakon page. I've got Chrislea's IM, at least, so I'm going to see if I can stalk her there.

I'm still pondering on writing an Ayatsuri Sakon/Rozen Maiden crossover, but have the suspicion that if I do it'll need to be set in the "Tales from a Ramen Stall" universe. Because I really can't see an easy way to have the Sakon/Ukon and Jun/Shinku sets meet otherwise. Well, I can imagine *one*, but it makes a better end-scene for a story than a beginning-scene.

I'm apparently booking on clearing out writing projects this weekend. Chapter nine of "Reality Storm," my Gundam Wing/Samurai Troopers cross, is now coded and up on my page.

Triumph!

Hah. Have finished last night's encoding session on a very long story, with lots of help from Wonderful Husband, who figured out just what silly buggers my text editor and ftp programs were playing at, and have at long last uploaded the HikaGo story "Bloodstone" to my poor, neglected website.
