Wonderful Husband is in Florida for work, in a hotel suite the description of which makes me wish even more that I could've gone with him. But this means I'm all alone for a couple of days (well, me and the cat, which is almost the same thing), so I've been reading. Finished the second Earthsea trilogy... think I like the first four books best, though the last two were also interesting.

However, taking advantage of Wonderful Husband's absence, I've gone to the store and purchased a small jar of chunky peanut butter. Mmmm.... Haven't had any in at least two and a half years because he's allergic. Even though he's not there, though, I still have to be careful--separate knives for the peanut butter and the jam so I don't accidentally contaminate the latter. But peanut butter sandwich... yum.

I also wanted to buy popcorn at the store. At two of them, actually. But both were out of loose popcorn! All they had was the microwave stuff! *cries* Betrayed by consumer culture! So of course when I got home and got out of the car, there was popcorn scattered all over the parking lot. This is because the universe has a sick sense of humor.

Now to sew. Or maybe read more.

Finished the top for my Fuu costume last night. With luck (knock on wood) the rest of the costume will go easier. There's a pair of pants with minimal trim, a lined dress with trim around the hem, and a belt with a bow in the back. And, if I wanted to get technical, a pair of Arabian-esque pointed toe shoes. But those will depend on other projects because I can substitute black ballet slippers if time requires. Because I have to put Shinku back together and make at least two kimono (Wonderful Husband will be helping with that, we went and bought our fabric last night) as well in the next month. So, speed cosplay, which is not my norm.

Finished rereading the Earthsea trilogy and am feeling the need to purchase the other books in the universe. Also finished reading through my new Threads magazine and am feeling like making some summer wear. But projects first!

And Princess Princess. ^_^
