Since when can the weatherman predict the weather?

Most miffed at the weather people who said the heat would break on Monday. It's Wednesday, and the temperature hasn't gone down any at all.

Spent part of this evening working on the next chapter of Deus Ex Machina. It's about a third done. Got in some musings about alternate universes, about the best-laid plans of mice and men, and one scene of combat teleportation training. I always find action scenes hard to write, so I'll probably need to edit it a few times before it's fit for reading.

Also got a call from an old friend who we've not seen in years. There's a chance Kyri may be moving to San Diego, which would be OMG So Awesome! Of course, there's also a chance he may be moving to Singapore, which is considerably less accessible in terms of getting to see him more often. We shall see how things play out.

Well, as I used to tell my grandmother when she would fuss about them getting it wrong, weather forcasting is attempting to predict the future. Yes, they use scientific knowledge of past events to base their predictions, but it's still talking about future events.
