Sushi is Culinary Cat

...Kitten kept trying to climb onto my lap and thence to the table throughout dinner. After dinner I finally let him up and discovered why. He started happily licking the remaining spaghetti sauce off my plate.
Then, later, licked a bit of spilled peach ice cream off my shirt.
I feel like I should put Ratatouille in the DVD player for him to watch or something.
Good news: he is now using the Big Kitty Litter Box so I can get rid of the little one and sweep up the litter he's spilled on the bathroom floor. I've also caught him and Paris grooming one another in tiny bits, and their wrestling, I've realized, is the same as what he did with his sister Boba. Except being massively outsized and outweighed by Paris, he doesn't tend to win now. He's mastered the stairs, is painstakingly being taught the "keep out of the workroom and bedroom" rule via spraybottle, and I think that the mysterious black marks that keep appearing on him are not in fact the work of a Sharpie but of him rubbing against Wonderful Husband's bicycle chain.
Bad news: Sushi's sister Boba apparently had to be put down today after she was stepped on. Details are currently sketchy; Heidi called in tears from the vet's office before I got into the office this morning and didn't come in today. It's really horrible... she'd only had Boba for three weeks, and just got her vaccinated a week ago. I was a wreck when Ash died and I'd had him even less time than that.
