Sewing and 'Faire

sakon76Last night I went up to Liz's new place for a sewing night. Got about 20 minutes' worth of lost on the way, and have a background program running in my brain musing on what the best way to get there from here is likely to be in the future. swtjemz and started in on the construction. It went fairly well... in two and a half hours I got the major body pieces sewn together and most of the seams finished. Tonight will be more seam finishing and then cutting out the pieces for the collar and collar guard. If I do well enough, maybe I'll drag the Wonderful Husband over to the $2 theater to see TMNT when he gets home...? Probably not, but it's a thought.
Am still planning to go out to the SoCal RenFaire tomorrow despite being ditched by every single member of my family up to and including cousins. There are only two weekends of 'Faire left, and tomorrow is the only day I can go... Sunday is Mothers' Day, next Saturday is the Fabric District with Armida to shop for fabric for her wedding dress, and then next Sunday I have a wedding to attend. Busy girl, me. Then we have people visiting from out of town, and the next weekend is Fanime. Is this what it feels like to have a life...?
