Slightly over halfway with the blackwork embroidery project. I'm also almost through my second skein of embroidery floss, and getting heartily sick of both black and this pattern. I'm not sure just yet what the next embroidery project will be (though I think it will be wearable; give the cross stitch kits a break for a little longer), but it will have color!

Rozen Maiden season 2 has started and I'm stalking torrents of it. Must download... must watch.... [Some people have Lost. I have animate Victorian dolls. So, *nyah*.]

Cookbook book club wants me to sign up for a new membership at the "4 books for $1 each + S&H and just buy one book in the next year at our normal price." I haven't bought anything from them in a couple years, but I paged through the booklet and am tempted. I probably shouldn't, though.

This weekend will be sewingish, as I have my dress to complete, a Halloween shirt for Wonderful Husband, and work to do on Shinku. Unfortunately Harvest Tournament is the same day as the Anime Gamers photoshoot. :( Photoshoot wins out. I do want to get (back) into the SCA. It'd give me the illusion of productivity. Probably because I'm in the middle of a lot of projects and not completed with any of them, I rather have the feeling that I'm swimming upstream at the moment. Not a lot of progress.

I have two books on my pile to read (Thud! and Eldest) and am eyeing a third (Poison Study) and will probably spend a weekend or two evenings at some point post-Halloween just reading. Which concept sounds incredibly luxurious and decadent at the moment.

Went last night with [livejournal.com profile] elenisiliel to see The Corpse Bride. I rather enjoyed it, and am COMPLETELY blaming [livejournal.com profile] aishuu for the very idea of cosplaying from it because she was the one who brought it up. I actually don't want to cosplay Emily, though, but Victoria. However, I am safe! Because finding 2.5" burgandy-on-burgandy stripes is highly unlikely and I'm not making them. (Of course, having said that, I'll find them the very next time I go to the fabric district.)

And that's life. *thud*

Hmmmm, I was thinking you'd go for the glamorous Bride. Victoria's outfits are nice, too.

Given my talent, I think I'd be the one to find the nice expensive striped maroon fabric.

The Bride is going to be overdone. As a point, you already can commercially buy a (not bad) costume of her.

Victoria is... well, *Victorian*. Which I like. Corsets and hoopskirt and I actually was looking at her bodice trying to see if it had the accurate double darts or not. (It didn't. But I can live with the inaccuracy.)
