Wonderful Husband and I went to see Iron Man today. It was pretty good... not that I'd been expecting less given the stellar reviews it's received. I really liked some of the dialogue/banter in it, and oh yeah I can see why so many fanficcers are crossing it over with Transformers. We did stay until the end of the credits and I'm really hoping they run with that for the next film. It's a solid film which we'll be picking up on DVD when it comes out. When it hits the $3 theater I may go see it a second time.
Then we came home and baked. For those who don't know, Wonderful Husband and I both staff in the ConOps department at Fanime, which is next weekend. We are the duly designated Bringers Of Cookies [tm] and have been for several years now. I did up three batches of Oatmeal Raisin (the maximum capacity of the stand mixer being three batches), which is... I lost count of how many dozens. A lot, in any case. Wonderful Husband did up two batches of Anzacs, which are an Australian cookie that we're trying for the first time this year. At some point later this week I'll do up a couple batches of Oatmeal Cranberry cookies (also an experiment this year) and a couple of Chocolate Chip as well.
For now, though, sitting down, feeling the house start to cool down around me, drinking iced sun tea. Will need to make up more of that tomorrow.
