Done Today; More To Do Tomorrow
Mar. 14th, 2013 09:49 pmMost of my list for today is checked off. Pay bills, wash dishes, water vulnerable outdoor plants, sew on the zig-zag dress (I'm as far as I can get without cutting bias tape). The only things not accomplished are writing some, and registering for BotCon.
Unfortunately, while emptying the countertop compost bucket into the "active" compost bin, I caught a whiff of slimerot. Otherwise known as anaerobic composting, and the reason why Wonderful Husband needs to turn the compost every week, or at the least, every other week. (Even before I got put on light duty by my doctor, turning it was a struggle for me and Wonderful Husband wanted to do it; I just stand by, spraying it with the hose whenever the layers are too dry.) It was turned this last weekend, and needs to be turned again this coming weekend. Fortunately, the ambient air temperature is coming back down....
Since I didn't give enough blood to the doctor today, though, it is time for me to go to bed. Tomorrow, I get to get up an hour early, go down the street to the nearest Quest Diagnostics as soon as they open, and wait in line for them to take more of the red stuff. At least this time I'm not doing a fasting test; I can have breakfast first! Debating reading more of the 1928 sewing book, or more of Midnight Blue-Light Special, while in bed. I'll probably go for the former; the latter is being quite enjoyable, and will make the wait tomorrow seem shorter.
