I did not sew last night. Instead, when I found myself lying on the sofa crying before my husband got home, I decided I needed a break. This week has kept getting worse at work, and my push for productivity at home (sewing, replacing a broken frame, getting the cat a post to scratch instead of tearing up the sofa /more/...) burnt me out. So instead of cooking, we went out for dinner (just across the way to Islands), tried standing in line at the Cold Stone near there, gave up and went to Best Buy instead. I got three CDs and a DVD though, alas, they didn't have Sleeping Beauty which I was looking for. Then we wandered over to Barnes and Noble and browsed for an hour or so. Unfortunately they didn't have the books I was looking for. But still... refreshment of body and soul. To me, "dinner and a bookstore" is a wonderful date. I also looked up information on the possiblity of going for an MFA, and I think I could do it.

And because it's a Friday I'm wearing a *skirt*. I need to make more skirts. I like the feeling of fabric swishing against my ankles.
