So, my computer is dead and has been for about a week now. Wonderful Husband thinks it's the memory. Part one of building me a replacement computer is sitting on the kitchen counter, but the rest is still in transit. I can use his computer, of course, and am doing so at the moment, but he has a split keyboard, which taxes me.

Squiddle, the last couple of days, has developed a nudist streak. He's not going diaper-free, trust me, that's not even an option. But getting anything else on him is a battle. Since the weather's been mild (aka unnaturally warm), I've elected not to fight this battle, so long as he understands that going outside means shoes at the minimum, more than that if we're going anywhere or he wants to play on the swings.

And the bathroom remodel is finally almost done. We have one more session scheduled for Tuesday, where they will hook up the sink plumbing, install the cabinet handles, hang the mirror, and hopefully put baseboards in for us. Then all we need to do is a final coat of paint on the baseboards and door moulding, and eventually figure out shelving for the niche. So ready for this to be finished....

This weekend [livejournal.com profile] racerxmachina and [livejournal.com profile] roseembolism came down so that the former and I could work on her costume for Ani-Magic and the latter could get sucked deeper into World of Warcraft by my husband's computer. ^_^;;

Costuming went well--the hoopskirt I already had done, the shirt is now done, the chemise is now done, the skirt needs its waistband finished and trimming, the collar needs a tie and its ruffles (to be worked on today), and I have a mockup pattern for the vest. It was much fun having her hold still while I pinned interfacing around her and cut it and drew on it and added more. We picked out wig colors, which will be ordered later today. Also, [livejournal.com profile] tokyo_kitty came by and we made up a chemise top for her (I may cut slits up the sides and add in a pair of gores if I have time.) So, three weeks and two costumes! GO!

(Computer still dead. But getting better. Wonderful Husband is planning to install Linux Red Hat on it, I think....)

My computer is broken (I am posting from Wonderful Husband's laptop), has been broken for a few days now, and seems likely to be broken until I get a new hard drive for it. At which point, incidentally, I am telling my Wonderful Husband "You are tech-like person and therefore godly. Remake it as you like, so long as it retains (1) Word, and (2) e-mail/Internet capabilities." Because he is indeed wonderful and managed to save my text files and Word files and photographs off the old hard drive in some mysterious, arcane manner which remains a mystery to humanities-degrees me. For which I owe him many, many, many cuddles.

And now I go and make ruffles and ponder the possibility of creating pie.
