Hands sore. One blister lanced already. Have taken to wearing gloves. Nonetheless, have reclaimed a fair chunk of lawn for the first day. Am nagging parents about what will be going on the *side* of these raised beds to keep the dirt in and the grass out.

Keep it up. Eric and I were finding horrid surgical tubing and broken glass in our dirt at this time last year. Ganbatte-- I am sure I can probably pass you some seedlings as I'm pretty sure I overdid it.

I hear ya. Only found one piece of buried glass today, but that was enough. Also regretfully discovering that, yup, the backyard is heavily clay-based soil as well. Many amendments shall be dug in.
