Amber Glass

I wish I could capture moments in amber and hold them perfect and preserved forever. Squiddle is now eleven months old. Where has the time gone?
He's now crawling like a demon, standing on his own for several seconds at a go, and cruising along using the furniture. It's not long until we'll need to buy shoes and a harness/lead for him.
Tonight was his first haircut. He's inherited my hair - blond and fine, though he's not the towhead I was at his age - so he hasn't really needed one up until now. But the hair over his ears was getting long and sticking wispily out to the sides, making him look like Sandman from RotG. So post-shower, Wonderful Husband took the comb and scissors from his haircare kit and just gave the baby a tiny trim. We saved it in a baggie to go in his baby book. :)
Of course, tonight Squiddle also yanked out my stack of to-be-filed paperwork from its position atop the sorter under my desk, scattering it all merrily. Fortunately Wonderful Husband distracted him while I sorted, reordered, and filed everything. Now there isn't much he can muss up under the desk. The chaos atop the desk, mind you, is another matter....
