sakon76Well, I may have a job. It depends on how well I can translate the first episode of this anime within 24 hours. Hence why I am up at this hour despite being short on sleep from last night still. Unfortunately the script I have been given to work from is missing the last few pages (which I think I can do from ear) and the OP and ED are going to be tricky. But I shall prevail!
Turned in last fragments of test to ADV as well. The worst that can happen is that they tell me to go take a hike. But whether or not they do, *at least I tried.* I really think no one has a right to ask more of me than that. Frankly, if I do get accepted by either ADV or EMC, I will be very happy and surprised. My Japanese is lousy and I know it. I'm nowhere near native level, even in listening and reading, which I am better at than speaking or writing. And if I do get any jobs from them, it's going to be hard work requiring long hours and making much love to my dictionaries. But if I get the jobs, I will work my ass off to *do* a good job and turn out a decent translation. It can't do anything but improve my Japanese, where almost any other career path will let it lapse.
