So, Friday I cut out all the pieces for a quilt for Squiddle. Saturday morning I cleaned and oiled Lilo, my Babylock, and set to sewing. I got the whole 48" square quilt top put together that day as well as piecing together a backing. Sunday we had more stuff of a running around nature to do, so all I managed was pulling out my tub of quilt supplies, Frankensteining the batting, and pinning the backing-batting-top sandwich together. Yesterday I did half the quilting and today I did the other half. All that remains is cutting out bias binding, sewing it around the edges, and washing it, and Squiddle will have his very first quilt from Mummy. Oh, and I should apply a label, but that can wait until I get a permanent ink pen.
