Squiddle was quite the social butterfly today. First he was adored by everyone at my dentist's office, then by his grandpa, then by my coworkers, then by his nana and her coworkers. Busy day today! Also, hallelujah, rainy!

I count today as a good day; I was able to get something like five hours' uninterrupted sleep last night, and thus able to run around fulfilling commitments and get dinner on the table without assistance.

Watched this week's SHIELD episode tonight. I loved the truck driver being a SHIELD agent! The whole scene with flipping the cars and tractor trailer, I thought, was done in a very Michael Bay style. (I may despise a lot of things about his movies, but I admit he does know how to film a car chase.) But may I point out that both the "bad guys" got away at the end of the episode? (Even if one is considered deceased; boy are they in for a surprise....) Also, I'm wondering how/if Coulson's lack of muscle memory on the gun is significant.

Three more episodes into Grimm. Game Ogre was a little surprising - Nick got seriously hurt, his and Juliette's home was invaded, and oh yeah, he told Monroe about the trailer! Of Mouse and Man seemed like a pretty standard episode, though Wonderful Husband and I would like the show to mix things up once in a while and have an episode where the Wesen isn't the murderer. More interesting was Monroe getting beaten up, and particularly the scene at the end where he and Nick both do the right thing. No going back now! And Organ Grinder was, frankly, the most visually disturbing episode of the series thus far. But I like how it used the Hansel and Gretel story, particularly the fire standing in for the oven. Hank's comment about things just getting weirder, though, made me wonder if there simply wasn't as much Wesen-related crime before Nick's Grimm abilities kicked in, or if it just wasn't followed up on as thoroughly. Wonderful Husband speculates a bit of both, given the in-show comments in multiple episodes about Nick upsetting the balance. (Me being snarky: does he bring balance to the force?) We're still wavering, though, about whether or not Renard is on the side of the angels.

Re. Renard: I'm not going to spoiler you, but...let's just say that Renard continues to be interesting!

Dollars to donuts, the muscle memory is significant - SHIELD does not do subtle...
