Sundress Sunday

Red dress all repaired, and I now have experience of shirring! Which I had previously encountered only in watching The Great British Sewing Bee. So I have levelled up a bit.
I discovered after finishing the shirring that I did not in fact have elastic for the dress' top casing, so I had to take a quick trip to Joanns. This involved finding something non-sarong to wear, so I pulled out an old blue sundress that I made when I was a teenager. It still fits... well, less around the belly at the moment, but the chest still fits. And it's decent for a quick run to the store. Except I noticed while I was out that the hem was starting to come out so now, having finished the red sundress, I'm working on repairing the blue one. ^_^;; It's amusing me, though, that I've been doing hand-finishing of dress hems in the same way for so long.
