The Fourth of the Seventh
Jul. 4th, 2013 11:00 pmDid a little bit of stuff this morning, got knocked flat for several hours. Am beginning to intimately understand the spoons theory. Eventually recovered enough to go to my uncle's Independence Day party. Stayed through the fireworks shows, both professional and private. I swear the fireworks budgets on his street get bigger every year. Came home; one of the fun things about the drive is hitting the freeway connector overpasses and seeing the whole horizon filled with fireworks. And as a wonderful cap to the day, once we hit our tract, there was a cop car parked directly in front of the party house down the street. The one that sets fireworks off until like three in the morning every freaking year. Two cops stood talking to the crowd there, and looked very unimpressed with them.
Haven't heard a single firework go off from down the street in the last hour.... *glee*

Glad you've been having a good time otherwise. Also? Don't feel bad you missed BotCon. Except for hanging out with friends, you'd have probably been really disappointed. It was TINY!!! Like something in its first year just trying to get off the ground. NOTHING like Pasadena two years ago. IDK if that helps anything, but there ya go. (The hanging-out-with-friends part was awesome, though.)
