On A Roll?
Jun. 22nd, 2013 10:02 pmSo as part of finishing up the baby crochet project yesterday, I signed into my (until that point unused) Ravelry account. And while I was there, I hauled out my box of yarn and did an inventory of my stash. And my jar of crochet hooks, and inventoried that as well. And then, feeling inspired (or insane; they're really quite similar), I pulled out another skein of yarn and started making the baby crochet project again in a larger size and another colorway, reasoning to myself that I'd just get it started and then have a project to keep my hands busy when I went back to the office in July. Also, having worked out the kinks in the pattern, I wanted to do it again, this time right.
Except, this morning I rose, washed the dishes, and discovered that was the limits of my energy/ambition for the day. So I kept crocheting. While Wonderful Husband took down the back bedroom fan that will not accept brighter bulbs, transferred the living room fan to the back bedroom, and then hung the new fan in the living room, I kept rest-and-recovering with my hands busy. All day. Virtuously following the doctors' orders.
Version #2's not quite done; at this point I've got the body of the jacket done, but still need to add on sleeves, the bottom white band, and then the trim. There's also still the bonnet to do, and I've decided I want to make matching booties for both sets, so I need to find a pattern I like for those. But then, I think, I'll switch back to sewing for a week. Or maybe writing. I poked a little at the next fanfic in my queue, but it's still stuck on a point.
And the next thing I crochet? Will be for me.
