Oct. 20th, 2003 01:59 pmJust went through the two boxes of patterns I found out in the garage over the weekend, automatically setting aside into a Goodwill pile anything that was less than a size sixteen. However, even knowing that most of the patterns that might fit me will also have to be put aside because frankly they're ugly/not my style, I am quite pleased with my findings. There are a couple of wonderful apron patterns, a transfer pattern for embroidering dishes and spoons and such, and a whocking lot of lovely old doll and doll clothes patterns.
One of which cost thirty-five cents when new.
Given that patterns tend to cost about thirteen dollars these days (assuming we're talking Butterick, McCall's and Simplicity, which are the relatively cheap/easy pattern makers) this price stunned me.
