Response time of the Orange County Animal Control to a low-priority situation of "dead dog": just over 28 hours. But the poor animal's corpse has been removed, and hopefully the stench will now begin to abate. They came just in time, too, since it's now dark out, and Wonderful Husband can't work from home tomorrow.

I will say, though, "Dead Dog Party" is never going to have the same meaning again....

Holy crap, that's an awesome response time. (isn't that sad? :() Dallas Animal Services averages 18 days for dead animal calls.
