Author: Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm
Length: 189 pages
This morning I went estate sale-ing, which I haven't done for a couple months. Among my purchases was, for $4.50, a 1919 hardcover edition of Grimm's Fairy Tales. It's not in perfect condition, and a few of the black and white illustrations have met with crayons, but overall I'm pleased. The illustrations are charming! It only contains 24 of the tales (if Wikipedia is to be believed, throughout the various editions the Grimms put out, there were well over 200 stories), but many of them I had not read in years, and a few I believe I had never read at all! They're none of them the original, violent versions, of course; this was a children's edition.
I need to start rewatching Grimm....
Verdict: Since when are fairy tales a bad thing? Recommended, of course!
