Assuming non-venomous, I'd rather deal with the pit of snakes, kthxbai. Non-constricting would be nice too as long as we're at it. Assuming venomous... I'd be dead either way, so I kind of don't get to care.

(Though, honestly, this question mostly makes me want to say "There were rats, Dad." Because I'm a dork like that.)

Mm hm, I agree. As long as you stand still and calm, and the snakes aren't in a bad mood, you'd be perfectly safe. And covered with snakes, but, y'know. Eventually they would leave.
