sakon76Today has been busy so far. Two loads of laundry and fixing my father's kimono this morning, plus the usual getting up of, dressing, and feeding my grandmother. Plus feeding my eight betta fish and the dog. And add on dishes to that, then coming to school. Two classes and then I go home to make dinner for my grandmother, do another load of laundry, chenge for work, then go to work. This evening I'll probably start in on my take-home midterm for Gender in Japanese Literature.
Also skimmed through some of the Rurouni Kenshin manga last night to wind down. Finally figured out something that'd been nagging at me--whatever happened to Tsukayama Yuutarou? Well, at the end of the last volume, there's a shot of the name plaques on the wall of the dojo. He is listed next to Yahiko as "Assistant Master." So, that solves the question of his fate. ^^ Yay, I'm glad, I liked him. Also finished off all the Kenshin discs I have, which means I need to get more. Obviously.
My parents are leaving for Jamaica tonight, which means I'm flying solo in taking care of my grandmother for the next two weeks. I'll be shifting into hyper-efficiency mode, I think. Best friend is leaving for Japan in one week. I'll get to see her and her boyfriend the night before they leave, which'll be nice. Need to see about changing some dollars into yen if I decide to hand my short list to her. Then the week after that, another friend is going to Japan. Everyone but me, alas. Ah well.
I think I'll see if I can't get the current costume project done before the best friend gets back. ^^
