Watched Thundercats episode 2. Wondering when Lion-O got a total personality transplant. Also, the most blatant rip of Moby Dick that I've seen in a long time. (Wonderful Husband had been hoping the ship and crew would turn out to be akin to Captain Shakespeare and his merry men from Stardust; myself, I was holding out for Pirates of Dark Water. Alas, neither of us got what we wanted.) Hoping that Lion-O gets his personality back next week.

Also watched more Transformers: Prime. Wheeljack! Actually, more like half Wheeljack and half Drift. (But then my headformula for TFA Prowl is "half Hound, half Prowl, half Snake Eyes." Which just proves I can't do math.) But, regardless, a fun episode.

Getting windows installed tomorrow. Which means it was probably not the right time to start a new sewing project. But this one has been lurking, ready to be made, for rather a while. Not saying what it is since it's a gift for someone who reads this blog. Design phase completed, though; time to cut fabric.

I'm glad to see another person who liked Pirates of Dark Water, i'm so annoyed they never finished the series. But yeah i have no opinion of the new Thundercats cartoons yet though i do wonder why they altered Tygra so much. Um sorry for rambling.

Yeah, basically as soon as Lion-O started talking I was like "Oh, I know the moral of the story of this episode already." Also this conversation ensued at the relevant scene:

Me: So basically, it's like Pirates of Dark Water meets Moby Dick. Except with tentacles.
[livejournal.com profile] amirai: I'm not sure that's a selling point.

(Because, as we all know, tentacles are not generally a selling point, except when a certain mutual friend of ours is involved.)

Captain Shakespeare would have been, well, ahem, fabulous! \o/ But not to be. Lion-O and Tygra appear to have kind of switched bits of personalities. Or something? Although Tygra being seasick is adorkable. All right, I was really fond of him in the old version. Hoping he shapes up and isn't such a ...product of his culture/environment eventually in this. ^^;;;

Also, Captain Ahab must have borrowed Jabba's sand barge. Where's Boba Fett??? Where's the Sarlacc??? Where's Artoo serving drinks??????

Whoops. Part two of the episode has buggered up, not wanting to load. Oh well. I'm guessing the outcome isn't too unpredictable. ^^;

Heeee! TFP Driftjack! Looking forward to seeing him again in some vaguely hinted at future episode.
