No rest for the wicked...
Jul. 18th, 2011 11:11 amUnder the heading "things I did not intend to do when I woke up yesterday" is "commit to spending lots of money on new windows for the house." This would be because (1) though Wonderful Husband told me he'd made an appointment for someone to come talk to us, I'd forgotten to write it down on my planner, and (2) the last person we had talk to us about new windows and sliding glass door to the patio left us with the impression that we couldn't afford it yet. But listen we did and, as we agreed to be a model home for the company, the price ended up being one we were willing to pay. (Model home meaning we write a testimonial, have before/after pictures used for their marketing, refer three people to them, and give the company the right to call us or have other clients drive by and admire our front windows for six months.) And, having committed, the project manager will be coming by tonight to take measurements and answer our questions.
So, today goes: take Paris to vet for urinalysis, take her back home, go to work, stop by parents' to pick up cooler to take to SDCC (hotel room has no fridge), go home and ask questions.
Then our other big project on the house for the year has been getting the master bathroom remodelled. Which has been stalled because we've been doing a refinance on the house for a better rate. Which we're signing tomorrow night.
Tomorrow goes: go to dentist to get permanent crown, go to work, go to bank to sign refi paperwork, go to bellydance class to make up for the one I'll be missing on Saturday while at SDCC.
And stuff like pack for SDCC, make sure the plants are watered, the cats are fed, dishes are done, laundry is caught up with, plus the sewing projects. -_-;; And at some point actually doing up the handout for Costume College!
I despair of my ways.

Date: 2011-07-18 06:40 pm (UTC)Also, you know anyone who'd be able to use a day ticket? Or one person who'd like to go all four days? As a staff member, I've got comp tickets . . . and no one to give them to. =/

Date: 2011-07-18 07:21 pm (UTC)As to the day ticket... yes, actually. My cousin who's going apparently has either a Thursday-Friday ticket or a Saturday-Sunday one, and her friend who's going to be hanging out with her this weekend doesn't have a ticket at all. What sort of information do you need, or instructions I could give them, etc, since I know they're going down Wednesday night?

Date: 2011-07-18 07:33 pm (UTC)I'll need their first and last names - PM me with those if you'd rather, instead of here. They'll need to see me first thing in the morning for each day they need a badge, so I can get it to them. Do you have a Four-Day? If not, I can probably get you one.
LOL badges for friends - the only real (tangible) perk of working my ass off for SDCC. XD;;;
