Plowperson's Noms
May. 18th, 2011 03:26 pmEvery few years, Wonderful Husband wonders why I don't have frozen meals for lunch the way he often does. Part of it is that I've never had a satisfactory frozen meal in my life; they've all contained a certain quality of bland cardboardness. Part of it (more recently) is that frozen meals are frequently high sodium. And part of it is that I like what I brownbag much, much better.
Today's lunch: a thick slice of homemade whole wheat sourdough bread, toasted. Some sliced sharp cheddar, allowed to melt on the toast. A Gala apple. A carrot. A small tupperware of homemade garden pickles. A muffin (Lemon Buttermilk). A pair of dates.
