More Gardening Stuff

sakon76It stopped raining sometime this morning and was in fact sunny by the time I headed home. My car is clean again from the rain! Or at least the windshield isn't spotty anymore from the sprinklers by the local college.
I put the winter squash in the ground, as well as one of the melons, and plotted out where tomatoes are to go. Their cages, upside down, are marking my theoretical planting scheme at the moment. May need a few more cages. And unfortunately it looks like one of my new jalepeno plants got sunscald today. :( Poor baby.
I also took the five small rosemary plants I started from cuttings and put them into 8" terracotta pots. I think having five of them will be an embarrassment of riches, but better too many than too few? My mother's already taken one of the original six.... And at some point the bed along the front of the house, where the parent plant is located, is coming out because it raises up the soil too high and we don't want a repeat of the termite damage in that wall. So I'll eventually need at least one potted plant.
