I learn something new every time I sew. This week, I have learned that a satin/sew-in interfacing/satin sandwich does not work, and that I have to unpick the seam because the bottom layer of satin will drift, and resew each layer of satin to the interfacing separately.

the only thing I could focus on in this post was the repetition of the word "interfacing"

Glad you are are always learning new skills ;)

You have a one-track mind. It's a very deep, very wide track.... :)

*snickers* I'm at my in-laws house with sexy handsome hubby (who is very much like Optimus), and I can't do any interfacing (and we want to)! So thank you sooo much for reminding me we can't have fun while on this vacation (well, until we get home). JK, I'm not mad at you. And I agree, you do have a wide and deep one track mind,...

You, my dear, are braver then I. The only person in my family who knows how to sew is my grandmother and she can no longer teach me.

Oh, satin.... such fun to work with!

I find it helps to hand baste first, much like with velvet. Less slippage.
