Double Rainbow Day!
Feb. 19th, 2011 04:32 pmToday was/is my typical get-all-the-stuff-that-I-can't-do-during-the-week-done Saturday.
Dance class, dishes, laundry, taking lemons and radishes and the first of the snow peas over to my parents, borrowing their truck, using it to haul a bale of straw for the garden home, shuffling the laundry, going to two estate sales, having lunch with Wonderful Husband, then taking the truck back to my parents while the sunshine lasted (I did not want to drive it in the rain; I refer to driving my dad's truck as "sailing the land yacht"), and giving my mother the couple items she wanted from what I'd got at the sales.
Just as I left my parents' place (in my car), it started to rain. And then while I was on the freeway, it started to sunshine and rain at the same time. And, hey, I was pointed the right direction to see the rainbow. It was the brightest, clearest rainbow I have ever seen. (I live in SoCal. We have very little rainfall, and consequently not many rainbows.) As the traffic at the interchange kept inching forward, I kept watching the rainbow, expecting it to vanish at any moment.
It didn't.
It got even clearer and formed a double rainbow!
FTW! *gleeful happy dance*
