For me, at least. Wonderful Husband had to work it, but he gets to take off two upcoming weekdays of his choice in compensation, so that's at least fair.

Did a bout of estate sales/rummage sale/thrift stores yesterday which ended me up with some more canning jars, a few patterns, half a dozen paperback novels, a couple of Japanese tea containers, and a wee vintage ceramic Christmas angel.

Got all the laundry done and swept the house. Also took a pumice stone to the old water stains inside one of the toilets; it's not completely clean yet, but it looks so much better! Made sun tea and got caught up on washing the dishes. I also took about eight lemons, some kosher salt, a jar, and made preserved lemons, on which I shall report in... oh, four weeks.

Watered the garden both days, and spent time working on it this afternoon, mostly on the potted plants. The horseradish has been transferred to a bigger pot, as have a few of the spider plants and a geranium. I planted a couple pots' worth of potatoes (still searching for an ideal way of growing them...), and tossed into the recycling a couple of plastic pots that were so old they were crumbling at the touch. I also filled lots of six-packs with moistened potting soil and schlepped them inside (they're currently on the kitchen counters) so I can start seeds in them tonight. I end up happy and relaxed when I have dirt under my fingernails.

On the plans for tonight are paying bills, making sourdough bread, and cutting out some costume pieces. Also putting away the last of the laundry and hopefully mending a couple of garments.
