Ha, wrote just over the official NaNo daily average this evening. Ending on page 127. Spent a bit of time mucking about character ages and thus the universe's timeline. Have finally set Marin and Briselied at 18, Higami and Terren at 17, Ariss and Sufi at 37, and various of the Lowstrum and Kirche children in their mid to late teens. Kitty, at least, has been 13 all along. I need to do some work on my supplementary info file and fill out profiles and family trees.
Research of the day included marzipan, Alcatraz Island, and whether or not there are especially high or low tides or anything oceanically remarkable about the summer solstice. Conclusion: there seems to be a popular myth that there are especially low tides on the solstice, but that also seems to be a myth, drat it. If anyone can throw me a bone if you know of any solstice/equinox-related water phenomena, I'd be grateful.
I think I've also begun discovering something to do with the origin of the Tel Amo (or at least their modern incarnation) but we'll see how that plays out. And I maaaaaay havestolen borrowed a line from
velvetpaws: "It amazed Higami how normal people never seemed to look up." N-chan, is that okay, or should I change it?
