Workplace is getting a bit of an external facelift. Which has meant the external trim noisily being sanded down last week and repainted this week. It also means a new back door, and a new patio door. The patio door is four feet from my desk. The process of replacing it is, shall we say, rather noisy....

Totally worth buying the big damned box of foam earplugs from Home Depot. 100 for $5 or so.

I would end up killing someone if I had to try and work with that kind of noise...or at least, being very snappish at the world in general.

is there hours and hours of jack-hammering apart large portions of concrete? My workplace had this and the owner came and issued us pink and yellow ear plugs from a bulk bought bag of such. We will likely have more fun construction noises but my location is front end and once they lay new carpet they will be away from me so everyone else can suffer!
