Sep. 5th, 2003 10:27 amSometimes I wonder if I'm too into anime and manga. I've always been a cartoon girl, ever since I was a little girl. I am ecstatic that things like Transformers and Rocky and Bullwinkle are being released onto DVD. (Still waiting for, oh, Jem, He-Man, She-Ra, Dungeons and Dragons, Pirates of Black Water, among others....) And I grew up when cartoons were still good, not the crap they've become in recent years. So when I was introduced to anime, it was more cartoons with plot! It was like getting to read a novel and watch a cartoon all at once. Then I decided that I wanted to know for myself what the characters were saying, started learning Japanese, got into manga as well....
I just wonder this because manga designs have started to creep into the *clothing* (not costumes) I make for myself. Granted, they're Kanata Kara-style designs, and the clothing like the story and chararacters in Kanata Kara is *practical* and pretty, but still.
