Cookiez!

Have baked choco chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies for writing class Wednesday. Oatmeal cookies came out okay. Trying to decide what I did wrong with the chocolate chip ones that they don't taste "right" to me, though Wonderful Husband thinks they're good. Maybe the fact that I didn't use part whole wheat flour the way I usually do? Kitchen is also all cleaned up, all dishes washed except for the sun tea jug, which can slagging well wait until the morning. Bed now.

Oh, and apparently parchment paper is a seasonal item according to the grocery store. Frag that.

don't believe that....try Henry's or Albertson's....it's not seasonal

Douglas tried Ralphs and Henry's. I'll give Albertsons a swing-by sometime. I figure if they don't have it, Sur La Table is next on the possibilities list.

Cookies are so deceptively simple, aren't they? You think they'll be a breeze, and then something always goes wrong. I tossed out a whole dozen pumpkin cookies yesterday because they tasted like soggy little flour dumplings. ^^;
