Pub = Semi-Fail
Apr. 4th, 2010 09:19 amLast night we finally went to The Olde Ship, a British pub a few miles north of us. Other than the acoustical ceiling tiles, it was in fact a dead ringer for being in a pub in England. It's owned by an ex-pat, which explains the verisimilitude. And the food was good, with one tiny exception.
They use peanut oil for frying things.
Wonderful Husband has once again been stymied in his quest for real fish'n'chips. Still, there were other things on the menu he could eat, and we discovered there's apparently a British foods shop somewhere between us and the restaurant, so we may try finding that later today to see what they carry.
