sakon76Having survived another week at work, I spent this evening trying to find a fic or two I half-remember and would kind of like to reread, but failing to find them. Therefore I cast myself upon the mercy and knowledge of my friends to see if the following two stories ring any bells for them:
(1) Saiyuki. Multi-chapter fic set in the present day. Sanzo, Hakkai, and Gojyou have reincarnated, while Goku is his same self just having been kicking around for centuries. Story starts with college professor Hakkai picking up a blond teenage runaway from the side of the road. Said runaway is, of course, Sanzo, who is a psychic and has basically been going through hell for all of his incarnations and it all comes to a head in this one. Eventually he remembers (under torture iirc) his other incarnations and puts it all together. HakkaixGojyou and SanzoxGoku pairings.
(2) Transformers '07 movie. One-shot. Set a few years post-movie, the main plot is Optimus wandering off into the woods, Sam following him, the two of them going for a joyride (being in a semi barreling down the side of a mountain and then doing donuts on the freeway at the bottom are both images that stick with me), which is interrupted by Decepticon attack. Optimus goes over the side of a cliff and Sam scrambles down it after him. Optimus' optics are out so Sam sits on his shoulder and guides him back up the cliff, then carefully drives him back to where the other Autobots are.
Any clues?

I, uh, have it saved on my computer for travel reading and could email it to you, but I'm not sure what the general rule is on doing that without the author's permission?
