Stuff. Mostly Sewing.

Fairly sure I had a weekend. I mean, I know one was in there somewhere. It was just filled with... stuff. Part inlaws, part translating, part packet stuffing for Costume College (and ARGH one of my classes is against the cutwork embroidery class! ;_;), part reading, part sewing. In celebration of warmer weather arriving (at least here in SoCal) I've dug through all my patterns (discarding twenty or so into the Goodwill bin in the process), failed to find the skirt pattern I was looking for, and found a lingerie pattern from Vogue that has a tanktop. Spent a couple hours this evening doing a mockup of said tanktop, tweaking it, and cutting one out of light green linen. It's all done now except for bias tape on the armholes and neck. I have three tanktops in my closet, but despite their nice stretchability, they have the misfortunate tendency to reveal my bra straps. This one does not. I think I need to dig through my fabrics and make a few more, since they're simple, fast, and relatively flattering. And, in the process, use up more fabric. Win-win situation.

That is a lot for a weekend. o.o All I did was run around from store to store accomplishing not a whole lot of anything. ^^; Hmm, is there some way to... ah ha, have somebody stand in on the Embroidery class with a video camera?
