This would be what it looked like when I got it. Messy, no?

And from the other side. I got to pull all this up. What fun!

This is what it looks like today, weeded and seeded.

And, I admit, a bit empty. But that will remedy itself.

And, as a bonus, my friend the hummingbird!

Wow. No wonder you've been sore and tired. That's a lot of work! It looks great.
And however did you manage to get a picture of the bird? I've never been able to get my camera to click that fast. You're good!

I was the only one in the garden at the time and he just kept hovering around for a few minutes and then perched for a bit. He was nice enough to hold still long enough for me to get out the camera and take his photo. I think he might be curious about me or something. I need to set up a hummingbird feeder for him. ^_^

Yay, you're using the square foot method! That works wonderfully. I have the book if you are interested in borrowing it.

Ooh, yes, I would be interested in taking a gander at it. I have several other gardening books checked out from the library at the moment, but in the interests of not denuding all of Orange County of gardening books this month, I haven't put a hold on that one yet.

Just discovered this morning that some of the gourmet farmer's market potatoes under the sink have started sprouting. My first instinct/reaction is to check out what they'll grow next to and try to wrangle some room for them into the garden. ^_^ I think I can do it, too. Now I just need to build a grow box for 'em....
