Title: Artemis Fowl and the Lost Colony
Author: Eoin ("pronounced Owen") Colfer
The latest of the Artemis books, and actually my favorite thus far! I think it helps that the author has actually let the character grow and mature without falling into teenage angst-fits for an entire book (I'm looking at you, J.K. Rowling...). I really like the pacing of this, the new characters introduced, and the ending that can either be neatly tied up as it is, or be open for more sequels. (Please please please let there be more books.) Holly and Artemis get tied closer together, there ends up being a potential love interest for Artemis, and as usual poor Butler ends up with the greatest physical toll being taken from Artemis' adventures. Plus Foaly is awesome as always (his and Artemis' mutual hacking of one another's computers is wonderful) and a certain LEP officer gets his due. Very happy with this book.
