Color Me Pleased

Sewed on and ironed third strip. Set out cutting right angle triangles from the strips wherein the hypotenuse was along the edge of the strips. I'd decided to be clever and, since the strips would end up 2" wide, I offset the three strips each by 2".
This has enabled me to minimize waste and get an extra triangle out of each strip.
This pleases me because I'm doing this out of too little fabric already. The quilt pattern as in the magazine wants me to have fifteen alternating blocks in a 3x5 grid. Because I was able to get those extra triangles, I squeezed out twelve alternating blocks and can do a 3x4 grid! Which means I'm losing the length of one block and the sashing strip, but assuming the measurements all turn out correct, it'll go from 81" long to 68" long. Still plenty long enough to snuggle under. ^_^
So today I have written and I have sewn and in the morning I shall pin lots and then maybe sew more. In between now and then, however, I am intending to sleep. 'Night, all~!
