Still here~!

Takin' break from the interminable folding of pamphlets which is probably wearing my right thumbnail down to the point of dubious structural integrity. At least my nails are cropped at the moment. Otherwise I'm pretty sure I'd be looking at splintering or tearing within 24 hours. Stupid cardstock pamphlets. :p
Finished sewing all 24 of the kitten blocks together last night, picked out the trims for all the hats/overalls/dresses this morning, going to sew those on when I get home. Then comes embroidering the fishing poles (4), the kite strings (4), and the final construction. Ganbarimasu!
Have ideas tearing ferociously at my brain. Must write! Must write! But no, writing must wait until the quilt is done. This weekend. Then I shall stalk the wily plot bunnies, kill many of them, and make hassenpfeffer with 'em.... Things like "Gulliver's Travels" as a comparative study; how human religious and cultural beliefs/standards have been shaped by the Earth's axial tilt; and phrasings like "Praise Primus and pass the ammunition" keep going through my head.
But I have a yellow Lamborghini Murcielago toy on my desk at work now, and this makes me happy. (Yes, got it at the LA Auto Show, and yes, if they'd had them in red too I may well have got both colors because I am a geek like that.) It is a toy relative to my interests which, unlike the Stitch sunshine buddy is not likely to be accused of setting off the external office motion detector alarms. (To those who've friended me since then, yes, this actually happened. The toy was on my desk ten feet away from the doors to the patio. It does not move at night. My coworkers are not all the brightest. This particular kind of stupidity is why I almost never have anything from home at my job.)
