Signs of Geekishness

So, in a mostly futile quest to get character voices, last night I watched all the season 2 episodes of Transformers that had the Stunticons in them. (This also involved rewatching the creation of the Aerialbots--oh noes! I'm now mostly convinced that Silverbolt from Beast Wars is indeed a reincarnation of G1 Silverbolt, just for that "Farewell, cruel world!" line at the end of "The Key to Vector Sigma, pt. II"....) I've pretty well decided that "Masquerade" is the only episode with any hope of giving me Stunticon voices, so I'll need to rewatch that one.
Among the episodes I watched was "Cosmic Rust." My first thought, with the rhyming holographic warning message Megatron&Co. enountered on Antilla, was "Ah-ha! These people are Wheelie's ancestors!" ^^;; Given that it's a Perceptor episode, I happily sat there for most of it with little hearts floating over my head. Perceptor is so sweet and naive ("We must never let the Corrostop fall into Decepticon hands" / *rubs Corrostop onto rust-infected Megatron*) and self-sacrificing ("Save yourself!" / me: "Didn't he say that to Blaster in the movie too?") and sucks at fighting, but is an awesome scientist who actually gets Wheeljack's Matter Replicator *working*. Which involves a kick or two to the machine. *heart!* Perceptor is one of the characters for whom I never need to rewatch anything to capture his voice in my head.
And as a side note, the $3 theater is still playing Transformers. They will, in fact, still be playing it through Tuesday. The DVD comes out on Tuesday. I'm tempted to go buy the DVD and then go one last time to watch the movie in theaters, with the DVD of it in my backpack. It would amuse me. Just because I'm weird like that.
