Too hot to think
Sep. 2nd, 2007 11:26 pm"The Decepticons temperatures are blitzing Autobot City SoCal! We're really taking a pounding! Don't know how much longer we can hold out!"
Pfeh. It is so hot that I cannot write. Because what I am working on at the moment is smut. And smut involves two heated bodies writhing together. And unfortunately my characters are not taking out their passions for one another somewhere like a pool or the Arctic. No, unfortunately they have no such compassion for their writer. Pfeh.
Today I was virtuous and tackled the mending pile. Two shirts and a dress are now repaired, with only one shirt remaining. I also did things like pick up meds, feed money to the bank account, and go to the mall. I have now gone through five stores and discovered that one-piece swimsuits are as fashionable as chicken pox. Thus, I do not have a swimsuit for tomorrow's pool party. Sadly, I shall probably be required to attend regardless. Spent the rest of the afternoon napping and then read Magic Study by Maria Snyder this evening. I also tried to start season two of Transformers. Unfortunately it starts with the episode "Autobot Spike." I have long had issues with this episode. It presses some buttons with me, not because it's badly written, I've come to conclude, but because it addresses a primal fear of losing one's identity. It is to date the only episode I've actually written fanfic about, and I always find rewatching it difficult. I only made it halfway through tonight. I will try to tackle the rest tomorrow. I fully admit to being a wuss about things that disturb me and/or scare me. It took me three days to get through The Sixth Sense....
