Since this week has been full of Moebius insights (#1 = GUYS uniforms match Moebius, #2 = Ultra Mother's red/silver coloration design based on a 1400s cotehardie with a sideless surcoat over it, decorative buttons down the front and all), let's see if third time's the charm.

We know there is an Inspector General who has never been seen. We know Misaki seems to have a bit of a thing for him. We have seen Sakomizu intimidating Toriyama on his behalf. The going theory has been that Sakomizu is in fact the Inspector General. However, after the events of 42 and President Takenaka's reactions to Sakomizu being in GUYS, that possibility begins to seem a little less likely.

However, we know that Sakomizu is connected to Zoffy (see episode 42 flashback). We know that Tarou did not let Moebius stay on Earth until after a Significant Look from Sakomizu. We also know that we're going to get to meet Zoffy's human form at some point in the next seven episodes.

I therefore posit the possibility that Zoffy is the Inspector General and the reason he's been absent the entire series is because he's taking care of business at the Land of Light.

It makes a great deal of sense to me, for the Ultras to network directly into the various defense forces from the top down. It works out as a win-win for both sides. And one wonders just where some of that 'alien technology' that the team has access to comes from.

What I have been wondering is if Sakomizu and Misaki are related. His daughter, perhaps? They do seem friendly in almost a familial way. And given his 'Rip Van Winkle' situation, it could work.
