For reference, I hate being sick. I hate the fact that I've been sick since Tuesday. I hate the fact that it's that low-level kind of sickness where you feel it but know you're not sick enough to call in to work as such, even if you have a stupid amount of sick leave built up, and even if you could because your coworkers are dropping like flies so somebody has to be in to take up the slack. Plus I still haven't managed to clear up the backlog from the four whole work days I was in England. This is why I am at work today, in one of my sweaters that actually makes me feel somewhat sexy, with nice clean hair and have gotten my stupid moisture-starved complexion under control because if I'm going to feel crappy I might as well try to make myself feel better. This is why I am clutching my mug of nice hot green tea and growling at anyone who might threaten to take it away from me, as the sickness has apparently moved into my throat, unfortunately making the glass of apple juice I had with breakfast a bad idea.

This is me, and I am cranky today.
