Have been working on Shi's costume today. Almost completely done, after which only wig styling and finishing *my* costume remain. Also finally finished off the spool of white thread I've been using. Huzzah! For reference, I have somewhere around 200 spools of thread, mostly inherited. Tossing out a used spool is always something of a joy. Oh, plus over the w/e I got three new patterns--two are from the Simplicity "Fashion Historian" Civil War series and the third might be useful for a costume I want to make next year. Anyhow, stirfry turned out bland (need more spices) but I've finally got the timing down on deep-frying the shrimp wontons. Anyhow, dryer is dinging, so off to fold laundry and then finish up Shi's costume!
