Finals over
Jun. 13th, 2003 12:38 pmWaiting in computer lab for Humanities Office to open so that I can see if they've gotten my petition for readmittance approved yet. 22 more minutes.
Japanese Theater final was pretty easy. I've been studying this stuff off and on since getting hooked on Ayatsuri Sakon in... '99, was it? So it went well. Got the last paper I turned in back. It was graded down since it was turned in late. I still got a B on it. I wrote the paper in an hour. I think it's a lousy paper since I put no effort into it. Apparently I had a good grasp of the subject, though. I am thankful that I'll almost probably never have to write another essay again. At this point, it's shooting fish in a barrel. Essays are just so *boring*. I could do them in my sleep. They're generally so easy it's tedious.
Also rewatched episodes 17 through 20 of Ayatsuri Sakon last night--the Takigi Noh episodes. Am going to write up a page about them, detailing what the costumes and masks, etc, indicate. Have asked on the oh-so-quiet KZASML if anyone can do screencaps for me so that I'll have images for a webpage on it. And still have to do that page about spirituality in KZAS, but am planning to time that to the eighth (last) chapter of Shaman. Which J. loved, though S. had issues with the fact that I've introduced the Weissverse into it--felt it made me lose the tight focus of the first five chapters. Still, given the overall arc of the story (Sakon discovering his acting as a spiritual medium *is* legitimate and coming into his own with his powers), I'll need someone to act in Aya's role, regardless of whether it's Weiss or someone else. So even removing the Weissverse, I'd just have to replace it. Might have to do an epilogue to close up Kaoruko's arc.
