For the curious? The HP movie is most definitely worth seeing. I have a few issues with it--will post after work, maybe, about them, but there's enough visual and dialogue candy to leave me considering a second viewing at some point. The Weasley twins steal half the movie. As does Filch. ^_^
And we got a right whockload of trailers, most of which were good. Um. Narnia, obviously (sister leaned over and asked if we're doing another midnight showing and HELL YEAH! it's NARNIA!), something called Monster House, which I have dubbed we-really-wanted-a-Tim-Burton-movie-but-we-couldn't-get-him, a dancing penguins thing called Happy Feet, which I have no idea what the plot is but the trailer was groovy, King Kong, which rox my sox, and Superman! (Insert sound of me squeeing here.) Because the trailer was all audio from the very first movie--the music, and Jor-El going on about the human race and okay, so as a trailer it probably wasn't top of the line, but SO COOL! *series of hearts* No, Superman is not my favorite superhero, why do you ask? I know it's out of fashion these days to like simple decency, moral strength, and personal accountability for each person, and YES, his powers are 100% wish fulfillment and take away potential for angst and tragedy and challenges, yadda yadda yadda, but I LIKE him because he does have that firm moral base. Of all the superheroes, I would argue, we need one like him the most. For if we are not guided and in turn guide by example, we are left in the wilderness, and that is no place for a human being to have to live.
And I am late-ish for work.
