It is Monday and while the HP novel is sitting on the coffee table downstairs (we bought a second copy to eventually end up in my Mum-in-Law's library) I just can't face the thought of starting it. It's a very odd feeling. Maybe I can blame it on the fact that I'm only halfway through the biography of Sadayakko that I've been reading--and *that* is genuinely fascinating to me. Geisha! From a century ago! *heartheartheart*

But I'm not reading that at the second either.

I think I'm in a blues that's partly lack-of-Wonderful-Husband, minorly-in-pain, general-Mondayness, paid-bills-so-I've-no-money-again, and it's-Monday-so-I-don't-want-to-brave-the-crowds-at-the-gym. It probably should be some need-more-sleep, too, but if it is, I'm not feeling it. A mochi has helped, chocolate would probably help more ("Here, have some chocolate. It'll make you feel better."), but what will probably end up helping my blahs the most is doing something. So, more cleaning, I guess.

*sigh* I know the feeling. While the Harry Potter novel and Clive Barker's "Abarrat" are both giving me coy come hither looks, "The Count of Monte" is Cristo" sitting there with a reproachful expression. I feel like such a cad.

So I'm going to read "VG Cats" instead. That suits my short attention span better anyway.
